IRSF Intermediate Programme 2.2 was successfully conducted from 10 to 12 August 2026, providing players, coaches, judges, and Rope Skipping enthusiasts with an opportunity to enhance their technical knowledge, coaching skills, judging standards, and performance strategies.

Organised by the Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF), the three-day online programme was designed for participants who had already successfully completed the IRSF Basic Level Online Rope Skipping Knowledge Programme. The IRSF Intermediate Programme builds upon the fundamentals covered at the basic level and introduces participants to more advanced concepts related to skills, competitive events, coaching, judging and performance.

The programme reflects IRSF’s continued commitment to providing structured learning opportunities for members of the Rope Skipping community and supporting the professional development of athletes, coaches and officials.

Three Days of Technical Learning and Development

The IRSF Intermediate Programme 2.2 was conducted over three consecutive days, from 10–12 August 2026, with online sessions held from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The programme was structured to provide participants with a deeper understanding of intermediate-level Rope Skipping concepts and competitive requirements. By combining technical knowledge with coaching and judging education, the programme catered to different members of the Rope Skipping community.

The IRSF Intermediate Programme also provided an accessible online learning environment, allowing participants to enhance their knowledge without the need to travel.

As Rope Skipping continues to develop as a competitive sport in India, structured education plays an important role in creating technically sound athletes, knowledgeable coaches and trained officials. This also contributes to the wider development of school sports promoted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Key Areas Covered in the IRSF Intermediate Programme

The IRSF Intermediate Programme 2.2 covered several important areas related to Rope Skipping development.

The key learning areas included:

  • Intermediate Rope Skipping Skills
  • Speed & Team Events
  • Judging Skills & Standards
  • Coaching Methodologies
  • Performance Enhancement Tips
  • Live Q&A with Experts

These topics were selected to provide participants with a broader understanding of the technical and competitive aspects of Rope Skipping.

Intermediate Rope Skipping Skills

The programme introduced participants to intermediate-level skills and concepts, allowing them to build upon the foundation established through the IRSF Basic Level programme.

Progressive technical education is important for athletes who want to improve their performance and for coaches who want to guide players effectively. The intermediate level provides participants with an opportunity to strengthen their existing knowledge and prepare for further development.

Speed and Team Events

Participants also learned about Speed and Team Events, which form an important part of competitive Rope Skipping.

Understanding event formats, technical requirements and performance expectations helps players and coaches prepare more effectively for competitions. Knowledge of team events can also help participants understand how individual skills contribute to overall team performance.

Judging Skills and Standards

Another important component of the IRSF Intermediate Programme was Judging Skills & Standards.

Judging knowledge is essential for officials responsible for evaluating performances fairly and consistently. Structured education helps judges understand competition requirements and promotes greater consistency during Rope Skipping events.

For participants interested in developing their careers as Rope Skipping judges, understanding technical standards is an important part of their continued learning.

Coaching Methodologies

The programme also focused on Coaching Methodologies, helping participants understand approaches that can be used to develop Rope Skipping athletes.

Effective coaching involves more than teaching individual skills. It also requires an understanding of training progression, performance development, technical correction and the specific needs of athletes.

The coaching component therefore provided valuable knowledge for participants who are already involved in athlete development as well as those looking to expand their understanding of Rope Skipping coaching.

Performance Enhancement

Participants were also introduced to Performance Enhancement Tips aimed at helping athletes and coaches understand ways to improve performance.

Combining technical skills with structured training strategies can help athletes perform more effectively in competitive environments. Continuous learning also allows players and coaches to identify areas for improvement and work towards better results.

Interactive Learning and Expert Q&A

A key feature of the IRSF Intermediate Programme 2.2 was the inclusion of Live Q&A Sessions with Experts.

The interactive sessions gave participants an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on the topics covered during the programme. Direct interaction with experienced professionals added an important practical element to the online learning experience.

The Q&A sessions also helped create an engaging learning environment for players, coaches, judges and Rope Skipping enthusiasts.

Eligibility and Certification

The IRSF Intermediate Programme was designed for players, coaches, judges and Rope Skipping enthusiasts who were committed to improving their knowledge and skills.

Participants were required to have successfully completed the IRSF Basic Level Online Rope Skipping Knowledge Programme before progressing to Intermediate 2.2.

This progressive structure allows participants to develop their understanding step by step, ensuring that they have a foundation of basic knowledge before moving to intermediate-level concepts.

Participants who successfully completed the programme were eligible to receive an online certificate recognizing their successful completion of the IRSF Intermediate Programme 2.2.

Strengthening Rope Skipping Education in India

The successful completion of the IRSF Intermediate Programme 2.2 reflects the federation’s continued focus on education and technical development within the sport.

As Rope Skipping continues to gain popularity among young athletes and sports enthusiasts, there is an increasing need for knowledgeable coaches, trained judges and technically sound players.

Structured programmes such as the IRSF Intermediate Programme help create a stronger foundation for the sport by giving participants access to organised learning, technical information and professional guidance.

Online education also makes it possible for participants from different parts of India to access Rope Skipping training without geographical limitations. This helps make technical education more accessible while supporting the development of a wider and more knowledgeable Rope Skipping community.

IRSF’s Commitment to Continuous Learning

The Indian Rope Skipping Federation continues to encourage learning, training and professional development across different areas of Rope Skipping.

The IRSF Intermediate Programme provides participants with an opportunity to build upon their existing knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of skills, events, coaching, judging and performance.

The successful completion of the August 2026 programme is another step towards strengthening the technical ecosystem of Rope Skipping and encouraging participants to continue learning and improving.

Through structured educational programmes, IRSF aims to support the development of players, coaches, judges and Rope Skipping enthusiasts while contributing to the continued growth and professionalisation of the sport in India.
