CBSE Rope Skipping 2026, with technical support from the Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF), is set to take place from 17th to 21st September 2026 in Shirdi, Maharashtra, bringing together around 600 young girl athletes from CBSE-affiliated schools across India.
The CBSE Rope Skipping 2026 championship will provide young athletes with a national platform to showcase their speed, endurance, coordination, freestyle skills, teamwork and competitive spirit.
Teams will report on 17th September 2026, with the championship being conducted during the event period and departure scheduled for 21st September 2026.
CBSE Rope Skipping 2026: Two Age Categories
The championship will be conducted across two age categories:
- Under-14 Years: Born on or after 01.01.2013
- Under-19 Years: Born on or after 01.01.2008
Athletes from CBSE-affiliated schools across India will compete in their respective age categories throughout the championship.
A Comprehensive Programme of Individual and Team Events
The CBSE Rope Skipping 2026 programme will feature a wide range of individual and team disciplines, giving athletes opportunities to compete across different formats.
Individual Championship
The individual events will include:
- Speed – Hop
- Speed – Sprint
- Speed – Endurance
- Freestyle
Team Championship
The team competitions will include:
- SR Speed and Double Under Relay
- Double Dutch Speed Relay
- Single Rope Pair Freestyle
- Single Rope Team Freestyle
- Double Dutch Single Freestyle
- Double Dutch Pair Freestyle
- Double Dutch Pair Speed
The diverse programme will test athletes across speed, endurance, freestyle performance, coordination and teamwork.
IRSF – The Authorised National Technical Body
The Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF) is the authorised national body providing technical officials for CBSE Rope Skipping Championships across India.
The CBSE Rope Skipping 2026 championship will be conducted according to the Rules of the Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF), with modifications wherever applicable as prescribed for the CBSE competition.
IRSF-appointed technical officials and judges will oversee the technical conduct of the competitions, helping ensure consistency, uniformity and adherence to the prescribed competition standards.
CBSE Observer and Technical Delegate
To support the smooth and transparent conduct of the championship, Shri Subhashchandra Nair, President, Rope Skipping Association of Maharashtra, has been appointed by CBSE as the Observer for the championship.
CBSE has also appointed a Technical Delegate to oversee the technical aspects of the competition and ensure that the championship is conducted in accordance with the prescribed rules and guidelines.
The presence of the CBSE Observer, Technical Delegate and IRSF-appointed technical officials provides a structured framework for the professional conduct of the championship.
